How much is each session?
To see Jennifer, each session is $100 per 45-50minutes due at the time of session.
To see Coleen, each session is $80 per 45-50minutes due at the time of session.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes, we do offer a sliding scale/low fee to those who cannot afford to pay the full cost of a therapy session. However, we only provide this to 10% of our caseloads at any given time and may not always be accepting new clients under a sliding scale option. It is best to contact Jennifer prior to scheduling an appointment to determine if this option is available. You can find her contact information, or a form to complete and submit online, from the “Make An Appointment” tab.
Do you take insurance?
We are considered "Out-of-Network" with insurance companies. This means that if you have a PPO insurance plan, you can see a therapist outside of your insurance provider network for a different rate. Contact your insurance provider by calling the 1-800 number on the back of your insurance card to find out if you have a PPO plan and what the cost difference is for you.
What type of therapy do you offer?
Jennifer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing mental health services. Coleen is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, under the supervision of Jennifer. Both utilize various theories and approaches based on the needs of their clients, as no one theory or approach is suitable for every individual. You can find more on this information in the “About Me” and "My Intern" tabs.
How often will I be doing therapy appointments?
This is determined on a case-by-case basis and is a collaborative decision made by therapist and client. Typically we prefer clients to be seen on a weekly or biweekly basis at the onset of therapy, eventually decreasing the frequency of sessions as improvement becomes apparent.
What are the ages of your clients?
Most of our current clients are adults, 20-55 years old. The age of our clients typically ranges from 13-60 years old. However, we see clients as young as 2 years and older.
What are the expectations for the first appointment?
We spend the first session reviewing guidelines/rules of therapy, getting to know one another, and establishing the goals you want to achieve for future therapy.
